Last week, I went to Zara and as per usual, I could not resist buying something. I saw this little top and fell in love. There’s just something about this off the shoulder trend that makes it irresistible. It’s a nice substitute to feel feminine, without having to show cleavage or wear short skirts. And as you can see, I went with stripes. Again. Whoops.
Wondering what to wear underneath? It’s best to buy a special bra that you can wear without straps. Even though this top feels ‘safer’ than I expected, having some extra support is a must. Having no straps to pull up your top might be scary, but it’s not that bad with the right bra underneath. I would avoid wearing a bra with straps, as this kind of ruins the idea of an exposed neckline and shoulder.
You’ll find this trend in all shapes and forms in stores right now: tops, dresses, completely off the shoulder or with straps that only expose part of the neckline. The ways you can style this are endless. Off the shoulder tops can be worn more casually, but a dress on the other hand can be very classy. It’s also perfect for the festivals that are coming up soon! It all depends on how you style it. I styled this top with the same white jeans that I wore in my previous Trend-Watch post, to make it more casual.
Is it too hot outside? Wear some shorts in stead of a jeans. It makes the look more playful and much more bearable during the rising temperatures. It’s definitely one of the styles you’ll see me wearing a lot this summer. 🙂
Let me know what you think of this pretty trend. Are you a fan like I am?
Have a lovely day and enjoy these sunny days!
