Hi loves! Oh boy, it’s been a long time! Exams have been killing me and the end is still far away. I should be studying but I missed blogging so I composed a little blogpost. Oopsie! A while ago, Tommy Hilfiger launched a new collection in collaboration with Gigi Hadid. As a big fan of her mom (who else is obsessed with the Real Housewives??) and Gigi herself, I fell in love with the collection immediately. Take a look at my outfit inspired on the Sailor Style.
I didn’t actually buy anything from the collection itself because to be honest, it’s pretty expensive, but I did get inspired. If you want to check out the actual collection, you can click here. I’ve seen a lot of people rocking this trend: bloggers, social influencers, celebrities…
Seriously though, how pretty is she? I noticed I actually owned a lot of clothing that matched this trend, and when my mom came home and surprised me with a look-a-like sailor cap, I knew I needed to recreate these looks.
The cap is from Zara. If you want it too, hurry, because it is on sale right now! It won’t be there for long. I love it because it makes the outfit stand out, without it being too much.
I’ve used the sweater before in another blogpost; Remember Spencer Hastings’ Style File? Here is another way for you to style this type of sweater. Even though I’ve long grown out of my Hollister phase, I am still in love with this sweater. Preppy styles are just very timeless, so it’s always a good idea to invest in.
Of course I wanted to add a little touch of Tommy, so I used my favorite bag. If you want to buy something from this brand, but you’re on a budget (join the club!), definitely check out the handbags. They’re timeless, affordable and sturdy. I scored this baby two years ago during sale. Since then, I’ve been taking this bag with me everywhere and it’s still in perfect shape.
If you really want to go all out with the sailor look, definitely check out these babies: Sebago Docksides. They’re the ultimate sailor shoes. I remember my parents wearing them when I was little and last summer, I saw them reappearing in the stores. I bet they’ll make a big comeback this summer. And if not, at least I have comfortable, sturdy shoes ?
Today is a short blogpost, because well… I have to return to my books, but it felt good to write again. I’ll try my best to get another article up quickly. Stay tuned!
Oh and also, happy New Year loves! I hope 2017 brings you all the happiness and luck in the world.
As always, have a nice day!
