H ello lovelies. Can you believe summer vacay is (almost) over? For some of you, school will start again today (sorry!), but I still have a few weeks left. I have been looking around for nice things to make going back to uni a little bit more fun for me. So, let me share with you my four essentials for going back to school/uni/college. Like these essentials? Keep on reading because I made sure you get a chance at winning them!
1. The Bag: Micmacbags
Maybe one of the most essential things when going to school or to college is the bag you carry your books and laptop in. I’ve been using my Longchamps baby for years but I was in need of something new, because unfortunately, it had seen its best days. Then I bumped into this beauty from Micmacbags: The Westernbag (medium size). MicMacBags’ slogan is “Everything is an Adventure“. Whether you’re off to college or off to an important meeting, this bag is a must-have and a life-saver!
It’s perfect because it fits a laptop, books and all of your stationary since it has soooo many zippers and little nooks where you can put your stuff. It’s completely handmade in MicMac’s factories and is almost completely in leather. There are many different colors, but this cognac color really spoke to me. Perfect for next fall, don’t you think?
- Size: 33 x 14 x 24 cm (it fits my 13 inch macbook pro, but 15 inch would fit as well)
- Color: Cognac
- Price: € 109,95
2. The Outfit
This is the kind of outfit I like to wear on a daily, casual basis. I call it “blogger- casual-chic”. A pair of jeans and a shirt are nice, casual staples in your closet. The big statement earrings and flared pants are pretty blogger-esque. Adding these will make your casual outfit stand out more. The shoes and the bag are the finishing touches to this look and they add the chic vibe.
- Earrings: H&M €9,96
- Shirt with pearls: Zara (On Sale now!) €15,95
- Jeans: Zara (On Sale!) €9,95
- Shoes: Essentiel: €185
- Bag: MicMac Bags: €109,95
3. The Stationary
My favorite part of going back to school always used to be buying new stationary. I have an endless collection of notebooks, pens, cute paperclips etc etc. What better store to get your dose of cute stationary than HEMA? Oh my god, I am addicted to their collections. I swear, I can’t visit a Hema store without buying at least one notebook. Who’s guilty with me?
I believe this set is actually from last year, they have a lot of other themes and prints out too. But, I was drawn to the iridescent pencils and the glitters. Can you blame me?
Keep on reading if you like what you see because I am giving away everything on the picture (minus the coffee and iPhone, because admittedly, I would be useless without those two). Entry details are below!
4. A Bullet Journal
This is a pretty big statement for me to make, seeing as I have been addicted to my Apple Calendar for the longest time. A while ago, I picked up handlettering as a new hobby and because of this, I decided to try keeping a bullet journal. What I like about this is that you can be as free as you want while creating it. You can just keep a diary, but you could also decorate it, keep a reading journal, keep a finance log, add to-do lists etc… The possibilities are endless. It’s a cheap and fun way to stay up to date.
Oh and don’t worry about not being creative. I must admit that most of my ideas come from Pinterest and I am the worst drawer out there! Handlettering and doodling is actually pretty easy if you take a look at Pinterest, promise! You can use a completely empty notebook, like I did. This can be difficult though, if you search Amazon or Bol, you’ll find real “bullet journals” too with dots in them, this makes drawing way easier.
Not ready to start out from zero? I found this cute little planner from Disfordazzle aka Diana Leeflang (one of my favorite youtubers by the way) at Kruidvat.
This planner is a nice start if you would like to pick up handlettering. You get a year planner, to do lists and a travel guide, but there is space to doodle away too. Diana also brought out washi tape, stickers, a handlettering set etc, so you can decorate the planner to your personal liking. This planner is also suuuper cheap, only €3,99 so if I were you, I’d hurry and go find it at the nearest Kruidvat.
So, are you ready to head back to your books? I know I am.
And if you’re not, I can make your return a little bit easier because I am organising a little giveaway:
The winner will receive the same bag I have from MicMac bags and I will fill it with this cute stationary*
